Facility Confusion

I’m confused. I have my office, but then there are several other facilities at which I may function. I may operate at an outpatient surgicenter, but then again I may be called to consult upon an inpatient at the hospital or even see someone in the emergency room. If I set up all these sites as different facilities then I can certainly schedule events at them whenever I wish during the week - but how can I see my personal calendar for the week at a glance - with all the various things on it in one glance? Ideally these would be color-coded. For example, it would seem to be intuitive to have my office hours perhaps displayed in blue, the default, so routine visits can be scheduled there, but the surgicenter to be maybe in red, visible on the same calendar, so that different patients can be scheduled there. As it works I can set up a provider-event and call it “In Surgery”, but I can’t make it behave like the “In Office” event works. That is to say that the “In Surgery” event becomes its own event and won’t allow me to schedule patients within it. What am I missing?

The Calendar has a bug that arose shortly after patch 12 of 4.1.1. See this thread.

Something is amissed with Facility Specific User Information.

Appointments can be made for different physicians in other facilities but not for the same phyician in different facilities. A possible work-around would be to have distinctly different names for the same physician specifically for that facility and also to use Kevin’s fix.

Thank you. I sort of scanned that other thread and if I understand it correctly I think I’m having the same problems. I think I’ll just work around it and wait for the developers.
