Eye Exam form problem: “Defaults” button not working in OpenEMR cloud demo or on local downloaded instance.
(The “Defaults” button is next to the “Text”, “Draw”, “Quick Picks”, “Previous Records” selector)

I’m evaluating OpenEMR version 5.0.1 (4) (local copy) for use in an optometry practice.
Browser: using Firefox & Chrome & Edge on Windows 10 clients…mis–behavior consistent on all 3 browsers
Same behavior demonstrated on Linux Mint server with Firefox & Chrome.
Note: OpenEMR cloud demo also demonstrates the same behavior.

I’m using: Linux Mint for local server, Windows 10 for clients.

Logs
I am a newbie in this Javascript + PHP environment and can’t find any pertinent logs.

NOTE: the “Text”, “Draw” “Quick Picks” buttons all appear to work

Next update will have this by default.
Today you can go to Administration->Lists and select “Eye Exam Defaults”
This is the default list that all providers’ default lists are built from.
Once built, a provider’s defaults can be customized also.

Check “Active” for any field you would like to be part of the defaults.
Change the values in “Title” for any field you like.

Save.

Look at the other available “Eye Exam Defaults” lists and
delete any provider specific default list created eg “Eye Exam Defaults for Billy Smith, MD”.

Next time Dr. Smith logs his list will be recreated from the default and can be customized as desired.
