Is there any consequence to deleting the …documents/system-ehi-export directory and its contents, other than the url field in the documents table not pointing to actual files? We would like to export a set of patients for migration, but are space-constrained on the server, so would hope to delete the export .zips after downloading them.
IIUC, these files are required for ONC certification. If you don’t need openemr to be ONC certified and nobody is using that documentation, then to the best of my understanding, deleting them should be fine.
@stephenwaite keep me honest?
Might be required to keep the patient exports for 7 to 10 years depending on state laws somewhere else if deleting them but then again you could recreate them so might be able to document what you’re planning in order to justify your actions in case of an audit.
Not concerned with certification, question was more along the lines of “will a page not render because the URL pointer target is gone?”. That said, I am surprised that ONC would address the retention of a compressed copy of information that still exists in the system alongside a log of its export. What do they have to say about taking a screenshot?
