Is there a possibility to load a drug namespace in OpenEMR to allow the doctor to prescribe drugs by choosing them from a list, while having the possibility to update this list in case of need.

Its already an existing feature in OpenEMR.Can you please check this link http://www.open-emr.org/wiki/index.php/Pharmacy_Dispensary_Module whether it is suits your need.
