Docusign-Style Signature Solution With OpenEMR?

Currently we have a workflow of sending a document requiring a signature to a patient by emailing the patient a docusign link, then downloading the final signed document and manually uploading to patient documents.

Does anyone have a solution that does not require this extra download & manual re-upload to patient documents step?

I know there are options in the patient portal, but needing the patient to do anything requiring logging-into anything or changing a password would be a deal-breaker in this case.

Any and all assistance is greatly appreciated!

In Portal Dashboard and if you have the fax/sms/email module turned on(You can use just email service w/o SMS), create a template with signing tag, assign to patient or groups and enable profile holding template.
With this done template can be scheduled and available to patient in normal portal use however, users may email or SMS or both a notification to patient with a onetime notification link that when clicked by patient will take them directly to the opened and rendered template form in portal documents where they can sign and submit form.
Then from portal Audit user may sign form if available then chart to patient documents.

Hopefully your current form can be converted to template. There is a PDF option available for sending PDF’s to portal also.

This is great! I’ll give it a try, thanks!

If you can’t get the notification without SMS turned on I.E using just email let me know. I just don’t recall if SMS can be off to show the dialogue.
If it is needed, just enable it to Twilio and don’t bother with the credentials.

Sample email.
