Demo down?

I used OpenEmr for a few years but have not used it for that 3 years. I am likely going to be switching back to it. I tried to log into the demo at:

http://demo.open-emr.org:2101/openemr

this is the what I got:

ERROR: query failed: SELECT * FROM lang_definitions JOIN lang_constants ON lang_definitions.cons_id = lang_constants.cons_id WHERE lang_id=? AND constant_name = ? LIMIT 1

Error: Table ‘openemr.lang_definitions’ doesn’t exist

Hi Aaron,

The demo can be broken rather easily (I suspect somebody deleted some of the sql tables), which is why it is reset every morning. I just did a manual reset, so it should be back up.

If the 4.2.0 Demo is indisposed (resetting or toasted), Brady has a bevy of them in his Farm.

Instead of using the URL, http://demo.open-emr.org:2101/openemr/interface/login/login_frame.php?site=default, you can use:
2107
2099
2103
2104
and there is more where they came from.

May you never be Demo-less.

Yet another thought.

Install a test copy on Linux Mint with the Ubuntu-Debian Package.

Easy to install, easy to upgrade.

No waiting when there is heavy traffic.

Best of all, only you are allowed to nuke it.

My last go round with OpenEMR was installed on Ubuntu. That was my first linux experience. From what I have read in the last hour or so, Mint looks like it would be compatible with me… Which flavor of mint works best with OpenEmr? would Cinnamon and Mate work equally well? Or is another flavor preferred?

If it is just personal preference, I can play and see what I like. Just wondering if one works better than other for office use/interface.

Thanks.

Functionally & aesthetically, Mint has the edge.

Start with Mate (easier on staff), more stuff on Cinnamon.

Install from flash drive, faster & less error than an .iso burned to DVD. Download via torrent if possible. Check the MD5 sum before sending to flash drive.

Start another thread if additional questions.

Hi,

Can also quickly test/demolish the most recent development version with this ubuntu/mint/debian package:
http://www.open-emr.org/wiki/index.php/Ubuntu-Debian_OpenEMR_Development_Package_Installation
(it also won’t interfere with the production package)
