Defining claim type

Where do I define claim type = paper, so that I can batch print on the 1500 forms?

I looked in the manual and on the formus and did not see an answer to this question.

Thanks,

Blake

Hello,

Once the CPT/ICD codes have been entered into the Encounter’s Fee Sheet, go to the Fees menu and select Billing. From there, you can filter which encounter dates to choose. Put a checkmark in the box on the right side on each claim you are looking to print on a 1500 form, then select “Generate CMS 1500 PDF”. From there, you can print the batch onto pre-printed HCFA forms.

An important thing to note is that you may need to adjust your PDF reader’s Page Scaling settings to “No Page Scaling”. By default, Adobe sets scaling as Shrink to Fit and that will print out of alignment.

When a patient has an insurance company that is NOT associated with an X12 partner, it is considered ‘Paper’ only by default.
