Hello to everybody. In open EMR It is possibile to insert the patient’s history in the dashboard, similarly to the demographics?

there is a menu item and also a button which gives the visit history, but in a different window to the dashboard - would it do what you require? but I think you are asking that this history be a card on the dashboard itself?

thanks for your reply. I was very surprise from the potentiality of this wonderful platform and I am trying to do a customization for my personal use as gynecologist. I was wondering if it could be possibile to insert the patient’s history and/or a preview of the encounters as boxes in the dashboard, more or less in the same way happening for demographics. Have you suggestion on how doing scripts modifications for this purpose (I have basic knowledge on php programming). Many thanks
What do you mean by patient’s history?
There is a Diagnoses tab in the dashboard that you can record medical history, medication …etc, will that do what you need?
and there is also a ‘report’ menu item at the top of the dashboard which gives a history for that patient

If you want to see X previous Encounters right on the dashboard, you could create a new ‘card’ that holds that information and use the EncountersService.php. You might get some initial headway if you asked Chat GPT or Claude AI to build you a module that adds a new demographics card on the demographics screen that lists the last 4-5 encounters and their encounter visit reason. It will build you a rudimentary prototype you can go from there.
Key words here are ‘module’, ‘dashboard card’, ‘EncounterService’, if you need to play with the ai prompts since you have rudimentary programming experience.
