i am trying to create custom api Please guide me through how can i do , i have tried my best to understand from already module present but no luck.

Problem Facing;
->I am facing problems whenever i build mostly related to permission and scopes
->is there any way to modify standard api through custom module so i don’t have any upgradation issues in future.
->i don’t know what the issue but whenever i try to build any module sites suddenly beomes 10x slow without (i’m not touching database)
