Cpt4-97803: how to enter in fee sheet

Situation
Client wants CPT4-97803 entered in fee sheet. I click established patient and comprehensive but then it fills in with another number, 99215, which isn’t what she wants Seems like my other choice is to search additional codes. I was able to add ICD codes in the Codes area, and then search for the ICD code I need. but there is no similar option for CPT4 I can find. Searching doesn’t work for cpt4

OpenEMR Version

hi @leongruenbaum, there’s lots of good billing tips in the wiki

Thanks very much- looks like that will answer my question. Much appreciated

Hello @leongruenbaum
Right, OpenEMR comes with a few of the codesets installed by default, ICD10 among them. But CPT4 is not; you have to manually enter those.

That can be done individually into the fee sheet each time one is used, or you can create a collection of the subset of codes that you use.

These wiki pages specifically address what you’re looking for and give the steps to fill in the CPT4 codes so they appear in the code search tool and can be used in the fee sheet and anywhere else codes are entered into the EMR.

Come on back and ask for clarification if any of the steps don’t make sense.

Oh great- thanks very much

You can create new catagory and add billable item price , then you can deactive the pre build coading catagory.
