I have had a lot of difficulty in finding an easy and simple way to back up my data on
openemr. So, what I do is, I copy ( on my main computer) the “data” folder (xampp/mysql/data) and the “sites” folder (xampp/htdocs/openemr/sites) and place them on an external drive. Then I paste these folders back in their respective places on my laptop computer. Before pasting I stop both, the Apache and MySQL on the xampp control panel, on my laptop (I start them after replacing those files)
It seems that all my patient’s information and scanned documents are transported without problems. I have not done any billing yet thru openemr. All I input are the patient’s history, demographics, calendar and scanned documents.
IS THIS CORRECT? AM I MISSING ANYTHING?
