We use OpenEMR for our outpatient setting and have been very happy with it. Because it’s open source, we were able to customize it to fit our specific needs. Our setup includes SMS reminders, patient scheduling, custom clinical forms, and claim submiting and management to track everything in one place.
To streamline clinical documentation, we added dot phrases and text carryover from prior encounters, making it much faster to complete notes.

Moussa, we wont to just plug in a scribe for all of the above. are you using api too?
We use OpenEMR as-is with a custom form for clinical notes. That said, I don’t see why you couldn’t integrate a scribe API — you may just need a developer to help with the implementation.
Our outpatient clinic has been using Open for a year and a half. We have gradually introduced things and are transitioning from paper charting. I would sure like to speak with another member who is using this in their clinic. Is there anyone that can help? I dont know if I can put my cell number. I did a google search, but have not figured out how to PM or directly email folks. please help
