We’ve been keeping tabs on this regulation. It looks like there’s a couple of years before Payers are mandated to use this 2026/2027.
However, there are some payers that have already implemented many of the standards (United Healthcare is one of the bigger ones) and so there are benefits to implementing this right away. If anyone is interested in sponsoring work (monetary/code) to integrate electronic pre-authorization or Payer Claims access via the Provider APIs, please shoot an email to hello@open-emr.org.
