Changing from Linux to Windows

I am thinking of Changing from Linux system to windows. Can i migrate the data across platforms, using the backup data, or what do I do?

Hello nadagbue,

Yes, you can import a MySQL database from Linux to Windows. The dump file is absolutely the best way to do it.

But Sometimes,when script file (dump file) executes in Windows machine, it will raise an error no. 1105. Unfortunately, this error is somewhat generic

SUGGESTION:
Identify the specific table, cut/paste the sql dump command directly into MySQL .
