Change OpenEMR website port

Hello.

I’m very new to OpenEMR and was looking for the best way to change the website port from 80 to something like 8080. I’m using the OpenEMR 4.1.1 Virtual Appliance which starts up automatically using port 80.

I assume that I will be need to modify a configuration file but just not sure where to look.

Thanks.

Step 1, see attached.

Step 2, changing sites-enabled/000-default.conf. is a mystery to me.

Thanks for your help. I was able to update the ports.conf file but Webmin gave me trouble opening the other. Tried it anyway but with no luck.

I will look through what you found in your second post and also look through the manual for the virtual appliance at http://www.bradymd.com/appliance/manual9/OpenEMRAppliance4_1_1.pdf

May also try sending the author a message.

Will post back if I find something.

Thanks again.

Just went to /etc/apache2 and opened sites-available as administrator, making it writable. Are you able to do same?

I had a quick look at Brady’s tutorial earlier in the day, but nothing jumped up.

Brady usually reads all threads, but it does not hurt to ask for his help.

My hunch is that the answer can be found in the 4th section, “Running different sites on different ports”; thus adding the script with your IP address, ServerName & RootDocument.
