Call for OpenEMR Mobile beta testers

We’re opening up a private beta for the OpenEMR Mobile client on 12/11/2009 and would like to invite anyone who’s interested in helping us get this ready for prime time to participate.

The initial beta will ONLY be for Windows Mobile Professional mobile devices and is written specifically against the 6.1 operating system. If you do not have a Windows Mobile Professional (read: touchscreen) device, this software will not work for you.

If you’re interested in participating, drop me an email at davek@openemrhq.com and I’ll add you to the list.

Thanks!

That sounds really cool, but limiting it to Windows Mobile makes for a tiny potential user base.  Any chance of an OpenEMR mobile client for iPhone?

They already did that.  I don’t remember it being offered for beta testing and I don’t know if it was a native or a web app.

A native app on the iTunes store would be great.  If it is really good, it could probably sell for $50-$150 easily.

Will this be expected to operate from the same server base as other browser users, so as to allow use of desktops by some with fixed locations, notebooks by some with fat fingers like me  and smartphones for those who have microscopes for eyes?  If so, I want to pay attention, as I suspect other current users might.

We are starting to implement the OpenEMR solution.  You can login into the software on an iPhone thru the Internet.  It works great!!!  No app needed.
