Billing with Freeclaims - anyone has it workn

I got OpenEMR up and running finally thanks to this and otehr forums and documentation.
Now I am trying to use the claims generated to bill through freeclaims.com. I have looked over every entry in this and other forums without a definite answer to the question.
Is anyone using freeclaims in production?
I am getting various errors and rejected claims. Freeclaims has the ability to map your X12 data to a real looking HCFA 1500 form and some of the fields that I know are in my OpenEMR settings and in the claim itself are missing on the HCFA form.
I am troubleshooting this, but I need to know that - DO I need to change any of the Freeb Code to make it to work as some people have alluded to in this forum.
I have not downloaded any CVS version of FreeB, just the latest released builds for FreeB and OpenEMR from sourceforge.

I am almost there guys - need a little help to get me over the hump and into production. I would greatly appreciate that.

I also have some AJAX (type ahead) code that I am planning to use for some of the search functionality and will post that to the developers for use once it is ready.

I guess no one uses freeclaims - makes so much sense opensource and free openemr and freeclaims billing.
Anyone using any other clearing houses or anyone even uses electronic billing ?
I hope all openemr users do not print forms and mail them through USPS.
Please respond on whether anyone uses electronic billing and what do people recommend to use for billing - proxymed, zirmed, freeclaims - etc etc.

Thanks

I am just getting to the point where I need to submit some claims.  Not enough to justify a clearing house.  I called Zirmed and the deal is a small charge per claim and $99 per month.  With the small number of claims we have, it would be cheaper and easier to print or even hand write them.  Zirmed will take claims data in any format imaginable, including csv, plain text, x12, or whatever else you are able to submit.  They will work with you and your EMR to make it work out.  That makes it easy to say an EMR is compatible with Zirmed.  I did not look into any other clearinghouses yet.  When things get busier with insurance, I may use Zirmed.   I also met with a ‘billing person’ who wanted to charge 8%.  It seemed like too much, but all she wanted was the superbill/router with whatever I could come up with for a diagnosis and she would code it appropriately.  This is potentially a level of intelligence probably not possible with software, at least not software not backed up by a costly support contract.

I’ll let you know what we do as things progress.

Sure, quite a few of us are doing electronic billing and using clearinghouses.  I have a couple of clients on Zirmed, and I have heard of others using Proxymed and GatewayEDI.

So, anyone using Freeclaims?

markleeds - same situation here - I am just starting out and want to keep monthly costs low. For a few claims I dont feel like paying 100$ a month or the 6-8% billing companies charge and their "minimum" of 1000-2000 a month if you have low claims. I have also heard about Proxymed etc, but no one seems to defnitely say - "here is how to make it work and I process x claims a day through claims-provider Y".
