We just installed Open EMR and are working on migrating our data over to it. One of the things our last application was able to do was auto populate forms with patient information like their name, phone numbers, the doctors signature etc. We have 3 custom forms that we use quite often and would like to be able to have that same function. Would someone point me in the right direction as to how to get this done? Thank you!
It’s unclear as to the purpose of the “auto-populate” function that is being sought.
Visit forms are generated from an encounter nestled within the Patient Summary screen, where all the demographic information and the name of the physician are stored.
If a report of a particular visit is required, all of the above can be selected for the printed version.
Option 1: Use LBF- forms. To understand these read the WIKI page on creating LBF forms. It is a bit trial and error to achieve what you might want to see as great result. With the help of examples from Demographics and History, within no time you will get what you want.
Print these forms through Client Summary, reports and click the correct options to get your report.
Option 2: Or use the Non-production OpenEMR version, it seems to be quite stable now, and use the Document Templates option. It has also a great WIKI page to explain it usage.
Option 3: In the lower left hand corner you will find popups as soon as you have an active client. With this you can also make documents with all kind of information ready and related to the client. Seems at first view probably a bit old fashioned, but will definitely create something you can use.
