Auto populate Provider information with NPI number

I want you evaluate the Idea : to Auto populate Provider information using NPI numbers
and advice to proceed further

You might be aware of this that Provider information can be Access from NPI numbers using service: eg: https://npiregistry.cms.hhs.gov/api/

Its very good idea and also possible in OpenEMR using ajax call we can get the provider info and display with respective fields.
