Appointment Confirmation Emails Not Sent to Patients

Situation
Subject: Appointment Confirmation Emails Not Sent to Patients

I’m currently using OpenEMR (7.0.3) and have successfully configured SMTP settings

smtp:

smtppro.zoho.in
operations@smart-emr.com

Email Transport Method SMTP

SMTP Server Port Number: 465
SMTP Security Protocol: SSL

New patients are receiving welcome emails with login credentials.

However, after scheduling an appointment, patients are not receiving any confirmation email.

I expected that when an appointment is added through the calendar, the patient would get an email confirmation — but this is not happening.

Request:
Does OpenEMR support automatic appointment confirmation emails out of the box?

If not, what is the best way to enable it or hook into appointment creation to trigger an email?

Are there any modules, cron jobs, or settings that need to be enabled for appointment-related notifications?

You can also turn on User Debugging under Administration->Globals->Logging User Debugging Options=>All

You may use my fax/sms/email module to send scheduled sms or email notifications. Tur on in Modules->Manage Modules.
There are several topic on this forum concerning this. Auto email after appointment schedule is not currently supported out of the box however if you want to sponsor the feature myself or other can implement.
