I am unsuccessfully attempting to upload X12 files to Availity clearinghouse. All the uploads are rejected on second order edits, due to an incorrect application sender code in GS02. The Availity staff report that openenr should have a unique number in this regard, but I am unable to find the same in the available resources. Has anyone in the world ever successfully uploaded an X12 file to Availity, and if so, what application sender code did you use? Thanks, J.H.

Configuring the X12 Partners dialog is the first big hurdle for electronic claims submission.
If you are not wedded to Availity, consider Office Ally. Via LogMeIn, they will set up X12 Partners for you. The following day, we sent off the 837P. Their Support is generally knowledgeable & helpful.
If the ratio of participating claims to total claims is greater than 50%, there is no charge. Otherwise it’s $19.95 per month.
Our local Blue Shield decided to stop participation with Office Ally, forcing us to submit claims directly to them. It was a real struggle. Two months of fooling around before we were able to send a production file. Blue Shield refused to help us with the X12 Partners dialog.
