Did you navigate from C-drive to xampp folder to XAMPP Control and double click to open it? If not, please try.

If you are unable to turn on Apache and MySQL from XAMPP Control, delete the entire xampp folder from C-drive. Re-install this package and follow the directions carefully. The XAMPP Control screenshots are a bit outdated.

The Module Service column is absent in the newer version, but they still provide illumination on how XAMPP Control works.

In Windows you have to start XAMPP-control panel with Administrator rights. If that does not solve the problem you can do e reinstall.

Be sure to remove/rename directories of all XAMPP installations of the past, since XAMPP is looking for old versions of XAMPP to use.

After a start of XAMPP control panel you have to delete with CTR-ALT-DEL and remove XAMPP control in first and second TAB of the manager. Unless you restart Windows.
