It was never like this before

Hi @DRaj

Details, pls? Are you using the OpenEMR prescriptions module and have it configured per the docs?

What display shows them disappeared?

Screenshots are essential to assess this.

The prescription disappears and had to be typed in…

Hello @DRaj
Please select one of your medications and show the Rx panel that applies to it (see image below).

It appears that your meds have been entered improperly, with all the sig elements being put into the ‘Name’ text area instead of each element going into the designated special- purpose text areas designed to hold its specific data. That process is described here:

If the data is not entered properly it will not be displayed correctly, and also will not be available for the different functions provided by the prescriptions module. Such as inventory audits, reports, etc.

Thanks so much, Harvey…

I’ll follow your instructions and revert asap

Thanks, again :+1:

V welcome, @DRaj
Be sure to read the whole page linked above, about the pharmacy dispensary module. That module is pretty complex to configure. In order for it to work properly and be able to access all its features a couple separate configurations must be completed.

And additionally, the ‘templates’ function is mentioned in the first page but is only described usefully in this one:

Keep in mind that this native prescription module feature dates from back before e-prescription was widely available. Having this prescription capability integrated with an in-house inventory was quite the convenience! Using the native module is awkward, though of course still great to have if one does not have access to 3d party eRx.

Speaking of eRx, if you practice in the US and decide you want to investigate eRx for OpenEMR, my company MI-Squared are the authorized vendors of Ensora, the only completely integrated eRx module for OpenEMR. So I’d be happy to discuss that with you if you decide to check that out.

In any case, feel free to come back here if you develop questions about any of this.

Best- Harley
