I want to be able to add my own templates to the CAMOS form. I can’t seem to figure out how to do this… can anyone help?

Hello, I’ll try to help you.  Before you start, decide how you want to organize your templates.  CAMOS is designed in a four-level system as Category - Subcategory - Item - Content.  Here is a screenshot to help in understanding what I talking about here.

In order to access the CAMOS screen, you have to select a patient and create an encounter. Then:

1.  Enter your first category name in the small box a the bottom of the Category column - look for “New Stuff Here” in the screenshot.  Click the “add” button underneath it.  The screen will refresh and your new category will be highlighted/selected.
2.  Now enter your first subcategory name in the small box under the Subcategory column and click add.
3.  Now enter your first item name under Item and click add.
4.  Now, enter your content information in the big top box under Content (not the small box at the bottom) and then click add.
5.  If you want to add more categories, repeat from step 1
If you want to add more subcategories, repeat from step 2, items? repeat from step 3.

Be careful using CAMOS - it does not auto-save your work.  I have lost a few pages because of that.  The Submit Content button and Submit Selected Content button are for submitting completed notes to the encounter form.  Your templates will appear for all patients.

I hope this helps.

Thanks so much! I don’t know why I had so much trouble adding my own, I figured out how to add all the categories but it never worked when I tried to do the actual text.

Hello,
I cannot see the screen shot of the camos that was posted by mikesirxon at the forum website; just a generic photo icon appeared.  Also, my email version of the forum gives a link: that , when I copy and paste to the address bar, my computer says is an invalid address.  Does anyone know how I can remedy these issues?
Thanks,
John
