Adapt it to non-medical use

We run a small non-profit and need a system to manage our clients. The EMR has what we are looking for, except that it’s geared for medical use. We need a system that we can schedule clients, assign them to one of our volunteers, open clients records, add/update notes, have client access and upload their documents, and update the client’s status (new, assisting, no longer needs, closed, etc.)
Is there a way to modify EMR to accomplish this? I am not a programmer/coder.

Howdy Tazmanboo,

Sounds like you need a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) program.
Check out espoCRM which is open source and very flexible and full featured.
espoCRM Website.

Good luck!

Thank you, I will give it a try.

Try the demo:

You could always call your clients patients, no?

I did try the demo and loved it. I would love to be able to use it through our shared hosting and be able to make the changes.

SuiteCRM is what I’ve often used in the past for CRMs. OpenEMR isn’t geared to be a CRM.
