404 error when trying to access the Patient Portal

I am getting a 404 error when trying to access the patient portal.

I have setup the link in the admin/portal area and tried both the options on/off on the server base path.

I am using the link : https://mydomain/openEMR/portal as the portal link.

Can anyone please help with this. It’s a first time setup for openEmr.

Thanks.

Hi, best way for me to help is PM or email me your actual url you’re setting.

@SteveNite Just a note. After the several years of trying to help folks with this type of issue it always turns into a drawn out session when I can simply look at the failure in the browser and generally solve. Just saying….

Thanks for responding. I am trying a couple things first and will PM you if I don’t get it resolved soon.

I hate to be this literal but, similar to sjpadgett, my own years of experience have shown me that the majority of users experiencing basic, simple errors are unaware of the help to be found in the OpenEMR wiki.

The wiki docs usually cover everything needed to get the feature in a default instance of the EMR ready for basic function. In a case such as this, the Portal overview is here:

https://www.open-emr.org/wiki/index.php/The_OpenEMR_6.0%2B_Patient_Portal

That ‘404 error’ could be caused because you actually used the word ‘mydomain’ in the URL, instead of entering the name of your OpenEMR domain.

Please make sure your install complies with the setup instructions and basic configs given in the different sections of the wiki docs. Feel free to come back here with specific questions and remember: screenshots of the pertinent settings are worth a LOT of words when troubleshooting issues.
