I hate to be this literal but, similar to sjpadgett, my own years of experience have shown me that the majority of users experiencing basic, simple errors are unaware of the help to be found in the OpenEMR wiki.
The wiki docs usually cover everything needed to get the feature in a default instance of the EMR ready for basic function. In a case such as this, the Portal overview is here:
That ‘404 error’ could be caused because you actually used the word ‘mydomain’ in the URL, instead of entering the name of your OpenEMR domain.
Please make sure your install complies with the setup instructions and basic configs given in the different sections of the wiki docs. Feel free to come back here with specific questions and remember: screenshots of the pertinent settings are worth a LOT of words when troubleshooting issues.
