404 error when accessing openemr on local host

[IMAD (IMAD UD DIN YOUSAF BUTT)]

Hello,
I am new to openemr.
i have downloaded openemr-7.0.0. Installed xampp 8.1.10
Unzipped it and moved to webserver root directory as shown in the manual.

Control panel of xampp shows

12:03:58 PM [Apache]	XAMPP Apache is already running on port 80
12:03:58 PM [Apache]	XAMPP Apache is already running on port 443
12:03:58 PM [mysql]	XAMPP MySQL is already running on port 3306

When i go to chrome and type
http://localhost/openemr

404 error comes up…

tried with Internet explorer too.

Apache/2.4.54 (Win64) OpenSSL/1.1.1p PHP/8.1.10 Server at localhost Port 80

https or http is the question.

are you running on linux or windows? Are you using xampp or wamp or what are you using?
