X12 file missing some data in ISA envelope at top (header) (icd 10, 5010)

Aetna Problem
The client needs to choose an ICD code for 97803 for claim 1973 (justifying). What’s unclear is if she knows how to justify for claim 1979, why not for 1973?

View Log vs. Error Log
The log in Billing Manager from the upper right corner is different from the .php error log, the path of which was given previously. View Log tells you what’s wrong with the claims, while .php error log tells what went wrong when the .php file was executed.

Server Freezing
Does the client use Disk Cleanup & Disk Defragmenter on a regular basis? If not, they are common reasons for the device freezing. If client never deleted old internet files, everything comes to a crawl & no amount of rebooting will help.

Another reason for freezing is the install of 2 anti-virus applications.

An elderly neighbor was “click-happy” & installed a 2nd program without realizing it because the offer popped up in the system tray.

After the third uninstall, I gave up & let the old fella fend for himself. He insisted that the second anti-virus happened magically each time.

Had a separate wuestion tho- Is therr a place jn the program for my client to enter names and addresses of referring doctors? shr wants to write follow up letters and i was thinking somehow to set up form letters in mocrosoft word

Sounds like client is slowing down data entry, perhaps increasing accuracy.

Store referring physicians in Address Book & in Demographics. See attached.

MS Word not as good as Rod’s Templates because you can set up a bunch of keywords & basically the client needs only to date & sign the letter.

If you use the date of service, she won’t even have to date the letter.

Very easy to add a spiffy practice logo on top of the letterhead.

sorry to look at this only once a week.

this is great! had no idea it was so simple

hey, i may solve this before u get back to me - will let u know if i do. but: i was able to enter in a new doctor into the address book, which is great. however, it doesn’t show up in drop-down when i go to enter it in ‘choices’. i noticed the other people in the address book (one of them being my client) are listed as ‘local’ but the new one isn’t. is that the difference? (and i don’t really see what’s different about the new one that makes it ‘local’)

fsgl wrote on Friday, April 08, 2016:

In the Address Book setup, if no type is chosen from drop-down, it defaults to local.

For other addressees, who are not part of the practice, a type, such as Specialist; must be chosen, to distinquish who is not local & what category of “nonlocal” to assign to him.

What’s the latest on the original problem? If it’s gone away, I would guess it has to do with more accurate setup & data entry.

If you encounter other problems, start a new thread; because search would be easier in future.

our impression is that the original problem has gone away - but we really need to verify that payments are coming in to be sure. will keep you posted on this thread regarding that

i’ll start a new thread for this templates issue (i think that’s what you are suggesting) - hopefully u will see it!
