I’ve not seen any.
If a search turns up empty, probable answer would be “no”.

Hi Folks-
I’ve been looking on the wiki and and forum, and haven’t been able to find anything but some cryptic notes on the LBV improvements, and nothing on the CCDA and CCR module.
I have some notes and screenshots on those items from some work I did, which I hope to get into documentation shape ‘real soon now’.

Thank you, Harley, for being the champion Wiki writer.

Hi fsgl–
It’s remarks like that that keep me lurking around the project!
I made a monolithic HOWTO pdf about setting up then using the CCDA module, then went to post it and saw the 4.2.1 UG now has a separate configuration section that looked like the place to put the setup portion of the doc
So the usage part goes here.
Comments, please; corrections certainly and thanks for your support.

Hi Harley,
You are really the best Wiki author we have. Great layouts & crystal clear explanations.
You’re Phiz & Brady is Boz.
So if you produce more works than Brady, Brady will probably let you be Boz.
Will study your new work after the second cup of coffee. Eyes are still half closed.

Kudos to our Wunderbar Wiki Writer! Well Done!
Just one little typo here.
On behalf of the old folks in the audience, can we request images that are 875 pixels across?
We, seniors, can’t be sure if our last glasses prescription needs updating or the images are actually blurred.

Are there any specific settings to make encounters eligible for CCDA export?
In the demo, I have set up two encounters for same patient (1) that refuse to appear in the list!
BTW: The search chooses 2021 as default range. Is there any special meaning for those dates? Would it make sense for the range to default to past 6 months / 1 year?

Hi fsgl-
Thanks for spotting the typo-- though I’m not clear on what the typo is? I must need new drugstore reading glasses.
In some cases the pictures are actually blurred because I could only make a large screenshot and when I resized the desired portion the pic lost clarity. I will replace the pics in that ‘Create a CCD’ section with my original higher resolution ones and see if they still display ok. Please check it out sometime after COB Pacific time and let me know what you all think.

thanks- it’s good to start the day with rollicking laughter…

Hi MD Support-
Thanks for your feedback. I reviewed the documentation and found a typo: one should do all the setup steps then log out and back in to activate the Carecoordination module in the left nav menu. I don’t know if that addresses your problem, though.
Back when I tested this module the pts had to have active clinical reminders in effect. Is it possible the patient you used had none?
This morning I caught the online demo (http://demo.open-emr.org:2104/openemr/) in its virgin state and set up the CCDA module from scratch. Then made a new pt, a 2 mo old boy (which automatically gave him a tobacco assessment Clinical Reminder), and gave him an encounter with DOS 2 days ago. No forms or anything in the encounter. Saved the encounter (not e-signed); cleared the active pt. Opened the Carecoordination left nav menu item and there the encounter was.
If you catch it before the system reset that demo still has the pt and the Mirth configuration in it and you can play with it. Sorry, I never asked Z&H’s permission to post their Mirth demo creds so will have to keep them to myself.
Interestingly, I continued the workflow to generate the CCDA.zip file. Selected the encounter and tried to download the CCDA.zip file. When I clicked the ‘Send’ button (step 6 in the ‘Use the CCDA module’ doc) the encounter became unchecked (see attached pic); the tab spun ‘Connecting’ for a while then the Carecoordination panel turned blank/ white.
Re: your calendar observation, at first it seemed odd to me too. However, that 2026 default does force you to enter a valid date. That way you avoid negative search results if you accidentally used a valid default date range, when the encounter does exist in a different period. But I speculate-- I have no affiliation with Z&H and didn’t contribute anything to that module’s design decisions.

I used the demo at port 2102 (v4.2.2-dev) instead of 2104 and your excellent documentation - except Mirth since I did not have any. After your post, I went back and tried to add random configuration (IP:1.2.3.4, Client:1234, etc.) which was saved. Still no display. Will try again another day

In your setup I noticed couple of strange things:
Perhaps Z&H will need to chime in.
harleytuck wrote on Friday, May 13, 2016:
Hi MD Support-
I took a look at that demo and saw a couple things that might have an effect on the function of the CCDA module.
the Carecoordination module is in the middle of the list of modules (attached pic) where it would be if they had been installed/ registered/ activated in order from top to bottom, rather than doing Carecoordination last, per the instructions. Looks like I need to clarify that expression, “from top to bottom”.
Re: the Mirth credentials, I’m pretty sure they need to be valid, though I don’t know how to obtain them. Since the password is obscured I entered the ZH demo credentials I have, but that didn’t make a difference.
since I don’t know of any way UN-register the modules besides waiting for the demo to reset, we can’t get back to a base starting point and try again til tomorrow and I will be busy most of the weekend.
Maybe you could play with the 2104 demo? It’s good until it resets.
Regards- Harley

Mmm, yes- I changed the pictures and I don’t think that’s the answer. Only the full width pictures are 875 px; my originals of the others are only 450 - 600px.
Part of the problem is that the interface style is soft and very low contrast. That looks pleasant for the user but distorts rapidly with any kind of editing. WIll keep looking for other ways to bring more clarity to the pictures. Maybe a different screenshot utility?

O.k., fixed the tiny typo. If you’re really curious, click the History tab for details.
Probably Gimp will allow you to increase the contrast of the images. I opened it once & gave up after 2 attempts at navigation. Far easier to use the baby tool, GNU Paint.
Because you have Windows, is Photoshop a possibility?
mdsupport wrote on Saturday, May 14, 2016:
Tried without any luck. I guess these demo systems need your golden touch.
mdsupport wrote on Saturday, May 14, 2016:
Does this image work? Most of the time by playing with browsers’ zoom function you can control the readability. In this case zoming just cuts off the display. Further Z&H does not use user’s choice of theme.
