Hi there,
I’m wanting to change the term Patient to client, and remove the DOB and SS fields as I wont be needing this info. ok the add patient area I can’t find where its pulling this data so I can change the titles or remove it completely.

Within the user interface of OEMR, go to Admim>Layouts. Select Demographics from the drop-down menu.
If you encounter any difficulties, please browse to your openemr installation directory and find this file:
“C:\xampp\htdocs\openemr\Documentation\IPPF_Guides\Process 6-5-0 Layouts Ver 4-0”
This is if you are using xampp on C.

To change labels (ie. Patient to Client), this can be done in the Administration->Other->Language->Edit Definitions.
Put ‘Patient’ in definition and click Search. Then place words you want to substitute for P(p)atient and click ‘Load Definitions’.

Close to 4.0 release, Brady spent a lot of time working on and committing code related to translation. Wondered what all the fuss was about! Now I know how useful this feature(s) is after his above post, even to English speaking (reading) users!
For it to work well, make sure translations are enabled in Admin>Globals>Locale.
