Want to clean up and simplify Globals Screen

teryhill wrote on Thursday, April 21, 2016:

Here is what I want to do.

Rename the “Notifications” tab to something like “External Apps” or something to better describe it and the Hylafax stuff be moved to it from the Misc tab.

Shorten the Miscellaneous tab name to Misc.

Split the Connectors tab into lab and mail Since it contains Lab and Phimail.

Move List

Move “Force Billing Widget Open” From Features to Billing Tab

Move “Hide Encryption/Decryption Options In Document Management” From Features to Documents Tab

Move “Activate CCR/CCD Reporting” From Features to Reports Tab Or CDR Tab

Move “Use Charges Panel” From Appearance tab to Billing Tab

Hi Terry,

Sounds good to me.
(CCR/CCD should go to Reports tab and not the CDR tab)

Does anyone un-check these “Enable Fees In Left Menu” or “Enable EDI History In Left Menu”?

I believe there are free clinics using OpenEMR, and certainly clinics that use no EDI.

Thanks Rod, is there any thing in Globals that you know can be removed.

I think the first 2 choices in “Layout Style” are obsolete, and there’s a lot of related code that can be removed. Don’t know offhand of other things that can be removed but there may be some.

I think that the tabs need to be clearer as to what they contain.
