The difficulty of doing this will depend on your version (if your using 3.0.1, then easy since this is what patch was created for; 3.1.0 will be more difficult since there have been files modifications since).
bo2999 made the patch, maybe he has it ported to 3.1.0 (if your using 3.1.0)
