When a ERA file is uploaded it does appropriately match the reject reason on the right column on Version 3.0.

Is anyone using this function?

Rob
Have you been able to look into this error/bug. Whenever we upload a ERA file it does not drop the reason code in the right column. How is this supposed to work? Where could we pull a report on rejection codes for working our A/R.
Thanks
JPMD

Do you mean me? I can’t look into a problem without very specific information. In my experience it’s common to find garbage data in ERA files. Also if you want to discuss it in the Developers forum, then it’s best to present a question or comment that relates to the X12 835 format.

Yes Rod, Sorry for being vague.
Here is sample ERA from ZirMed. You seem to be the expert on this and would like for our team to know more to contribute. We need to run some standard reports on reject codes and need to direction as to how the code is processed. If different ERA files will produce different results than should we not standardize this some how. Thanks and here is the file without patient information.

The file name that we upload is this SMFL0[1].15369.20090413.093528039.ERA.835. Would this make a difference?

I can’t spare the time to study this right now, but you can find the parsing logic in library/parse_era.inc.php. It’s pretty easy to follow.
