www-data 94739 0.0 0.0 1938804 5500 ? Sl 12:52 0:00 /usr/sbin/apache2 -k start

which flavor of linux are you running?

I am running Ubuntu 20.04.5 LTS It puzzles me too but apparently apache is my web server and default user. I switched the permissions to 750 for user apache. The group I switched to apache as well and included in the group my user, admin and www-data. Now everything runs smooth with exception of the System/Backup option. It gives me an Error:
Fatal error : Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function exec() in /home/admin/domains/drhinov.com/public_html/openemr/interface/main/backup.php:1037 Stack trace: #0 {main} thrown in /home/admin/domains/drhinov.com/public_html/openemr/interface/main/backup.php on line 1037
However I just export the mysql database through PHP myadmin platform and copy the recent Documents folder for backup needs in the future.

If you using Linux, and if you have your v6.1.0. backup file, its much easier to reinstall Linux, and make new v7.0.0 installation. Its usually takes a maximum 1 hour of your time.
