What is the status of the GUI renovations? We’d like to help. Is this something we could pick up on, or is it best to start from scratch?
If starting from scratch, our approach would be to submit our proposed guide lines in advance to making changes. Our changes would be minimally invasive to preserve as much of the existing codebase and carefully document those changes that are required. We recognize that there are many parties familar with the internal working of the software and do not wish to those programmers to lose familiarity code.
If this is something we can pick up from this point, is there a roadmap/plan we could familiarize ourselves with?
We are looking forward to contributing to this project.

Hi,
Woudn’t start from scratch since Robert has already done a bunch of work. Not sure if Robert is working on this actively at this time, but best thing would be to get some input from him.

Hi Brady, I have e-mail Robert, and have not heard back from him as of yet. We really would like to proceed where he has left off. Absent his guidance, do you have any suggestions? Or, shall we start reverse engineering his work thus far?
Over a period we did many of these things as custom changes but may not have submitted since they rely on 3rd party components (still open source) that project would prefer to develop internally.
This is pretty common as many vendors and customers are not willing to spend the extra time and money to go thru the hoops required to get code contributed. Particularly if it complex.
The fix is for interested parties to fund the difference. We did that with the e-signing via a public funding site, but it all came for this group so using the site was only a convenient way to track contributions…
