Yes you edit the menu names in the menu files it will change the name of the tabs.

If you’re not running on multisite the menus will be in:
sites/default/documents/custom_menus/

I guess I was a little confused because i made changes in that json yesterday and it was not reflected on the portal, other than in the label area, would i need to change it anywhere else?
Are you trying to change it in the patient portal or for clinicians / admins?
For the admins and clinicians on the emr site, not the patient portal
When you say its not reflected on the portal, what do you mean? For some reason I was thinking you were talking about patient portal.
You mentioned wanting to change the menu item labels and it looks like you were able to do that. So I’m not sure I understand what it is you are trying to accomplish.
