Tree Menu Organization

The Administration menu organization seems a bit awkward, and I was thinking of rearranging it into 3 sections like this:

Settings
o Globals
o Practice
o Facilities
o Users
o ACL
o Language

Content
o Lists
o Layouts
o Forms
o Calendar
o Services

Actions
o Backup
o Export
o Logs
o Database

Other thoughts/suggestions?

Globals and Language should be somewhere far behind. So it is something to seek for. These are entities you do not want to change in OpenEMR on facility.
IMHO these are things you use once and than forget about.

Why  are Insurance Companies and Pharmacies not as such included in your new menu structure?

Insurance Companies and Pharmacies are part of the Practice GUI.  This is just about rearranging the existing Administration menu items into suitable groups, nothing more.

Backup should be an item on it’s own, not buried .
Log Files should be View Log Files

What is Export?

Thanks Tony.  Ping me if you come up with anything more specific.  I’m not sure how to make Backup “on its own” and still maintain consistent grouping.

Consider Export to be a place-holder for general-purpose exporting of data.  There is already an implementation of this specific to IPPF (and so the menu item appears only for that case), it may be useful as a starting point.

Hope “Certificates”  menu will be added under “Settings” section. Currently it is placed under “Others” section.
