To assign patient to doctors with fee

Hi,
I am try to schedule patient and assign the same to doctors, but there is no such facility.As per my understanding following option should there. pls check, if you can add this.

In Scheduling

  1. Assign patient to doctor
  2. Doctor consultation fee should there.
  3. There information must capture at the time of final billing.

Fani,

From the sounds of it, this is entirely possible with OpenEMR as-is. You are able to schedule the patient to see any Provider (designated through Administration > Users), so that takes care of #1. In regards to #'s 2 and 3, that is captured by creating an Encounter for that patient and inputting the CPT4/ICD9 codes with associated fees in to the Fee Sheet of the Encounter.

Once you click Save, it becomes a balance either due to the patient or due insurance, depending on how they are set up in the system.

Not sure what the question is… Have you read the help in OpenEMR and understand the setup steps and the process?

  1. Patient is ‘assigned’ to a doctor in Patient data. Appointment is scheduled with any of the physicians at that facility.
  • Consultation fee is defined as a service with various rates. In addition, there should be other services with additional fees.
  • After the appointment/encounter, you will select the services provided during that visit and the software will ‘capture’ the charges for those services.
