I have set in administration -> globals -> security the idle session timeout to 1200 (20 minutes). However, some times I found that the session will log me out after 2-3 minutes of session inactivity. Does anyone have similar problem before? What might be a possible cause for this?

Does it help to set the screensaver to 20 minutes as well?

mmm… Not sure if that’s because of screensaver because it’s only the openemr session that gets automatically logged out. But my screen is still active (because I am doing other typing and browsing in other windows)

Kevin - I am testing with two copies of openEMR. However, they are hosted at different servers with different hostname so I think they should be fine since they are totally separate from each other.
However, sometimes I will use the same login user and open multiple sessions. Will that matter?
