Proper treatment of LBV forms

I have experimented with making forms and have recorded info in encounters in an exploratory way
The openEMR program is on a windows 7 laptop in a free standing (non-server) manner.The layouts achieved have an appeal with two unhappy issues: A) I cannot delete them as I get an error code.
For example: ERROR: The following variable contains invalid characters: LBFtest 070814
B) these homemade forms do not show up in REPORT except for a parenthetical reference to
date eg:(07/08/2014). I feel like I’m missing something(s)… like the guy who brought back his new chainsaw to the store because it was harder to use than his old manual cross cut. When the clerk started up the machine up the guy asked WHAT’S THAT NOISE? Thanks forum-ites.

Sounds like you have used unexpected character(s) somewhere. You can start by checking the plumbing :

  1. Create a new form with single word name - e.g. form1
  2. Edit the layout, add a group - group1
  3. Add a text field - field1
  4. Create and change the form for an encounter.
  5. As administrator, try and delete this form.

If it works, you can narrow your debugging to your form. Start by deleting fields(not labels) with non-alphanumeric characters and see if the delete and report works.
