Problem with download file names

Hello

I am on openemr for many years and using it for my patients on regular basis. Have always felt the need to change the download file names of the files, but somehow I forget to ask this on the forum. So here I am…

In Openemr, when we download a prescription/statement in pdf format, the file is saved in our system as “file.pdf” be it the prescriptions or the statements.

This file goes to the same download folder where each and every download from the browser goes.

There are many patients in my production database and we need to download those statements and prescriptions for many finite times a day.

It is really cumbersome to check which “file.pdf” was for which patients, or whether it was a prescription or a statement!

Is there any means by which the file name of the pdf which is being downloaded be changed by default while downloading to “Pres_Firstname_PID.pdf” for the prescriptions and “stat_firstname_PID.pdf” for statements?

Here “firstname” = first name of the patient for which the file is generated
“PID” = The Patient ID in the system for the patient

If this can be done, it would make life much much easier…
