Prescription Signatures

I have a few questions that I hope someone will be able to answer quickly and with no pain to me.  What do I need to do to put in multiple provider signatures - sig.png  - meaning what do I need to name the files and on the line where you put the file names do I need to put in a comma or something else between them?

Is there anyway to modify openemr so that the sig.png files will also print instead of showing up only when they are faxed?   We do not have a hylafax server and weren’t planning on having to do one since we are able to fax from all of our computers.  Currently our NP’s and Doc’s hit print select the fax (if it isn’t already the default), type in the fax number and hit enter.  It works for us but as you are selecting print instead of fax in openemr it won’t put in the sig.png.

In case you are dying to ask the answer is no the pharmacies here (Indiana) will not accept Electronically Signed or Signature on File in place of a printed picture of the signature - makes absolutely no sense whatsoever considering they will take a called in script without getting a signature at all.  Our Doc was immediately ticked off to say the least because if he prints out a script someone in the office is just going to rubber stamp it anyway.

Thanks for any help.

Ahoy Eric.

Not what you were asking for, but my two cents:

You’re gonna love hylafax when you get it configured.  I use YAJHFC, a well done flexible java based client for linux, mac, and windows, and no one types in fax numbers at our office anymore.  You can even set up a “universal” phonebook  if you are running mysql on the same server, that will update every client’s phonebook with each address change or entry.

Disclaimer:  I apologize if OpenEMR handles a hylafax interface internally; I haven’t seen or tried that.
