I’ve recently created an universal bootstrap based dialog modal tailored to OpenEMR specifics with the intent as a fancybox dialog replacement. As a test case, I decided to tackle replacing the Prescription dialog with new oeModal but realized that while a dialog may be appropriate while in the patient chart, an option is needed to have Prescription as a menu item to open in a tab. With the addition of a select patient lookup, user could manage scripts for several patient from the same screen, say, as part of clinics normal work flow. I did this for the Miscellaneous->New Documents module a while back with the hope a user could handle many documents for several patients in one place.
