Postal code vs zip code fields in databases

I noticed in the Addresses database the zip has a field and plus four has a field.  In the Insurance Companies database postal code is the only field.  Should this be modified to be consistent?

I would be happy to do it, but I don’t know how to program.  I will see what I can do by modifying fields for consistency if I can figure out the architecture, or if someone would like to give me some guidance.
