We are trying to set up oemr and have some confusion regarding billing. We have loaded the ICD data using the file load_icd_desc.pl. We need to add Physicians fee schedule into the system. We went to the url http://www.cms.hhs.gov/PhysicianFeeSched/PFSNPAF/list.asp and retrieved the file PFRV4_PCT22.txt, which appeared to be the most recent one in the list. This file has around 2600 lines of data. Is this the only file that we need to load to make billing system ready? Is there anything else to be loaded for Billing to work?
Our practice is based in California. Where can we get the the CARRIER value to be used in the file load_doc_fees.pl.
