PHP 5.5 is required

Hello,

After the recent phpmyadmin upgrade by Brady in the development version…on clicking database under Administration->others, it says PHP 5.5+ is required. Should I upgrade the xampp version?

Hi Arnab,

We are a bit stuck on this one since the other phpmyadmin release branch that would support a lesser PHP version will no longer be supported after 4/2016. So this means that the XAMPP package will need to be upgraded with this future release(the nice thing about xampp is that it comes with phpmyadmin, so not too crucial to upgrade it).
