Some phone systems allow passing of caller IDs to other systems. Typical scenario we are looking at would be adding some ‘intelligence’ to call routing such as :
- Display patient name(s) based on EMR information
- Start a workflow if incoming call matches to a single patient
- Route call to specific staff member based on expected reason for the call - e.g. if patient has a recent lab order, they are likely to be calling for lab results etc…
Has anyone implemented integration with OpenEMR?
