Hi;
There are a bunch of things which must be done (eg setting up the LPR service, defining the printer in globals.php, etc) which supposedly get it to work, but I have not yet been successful. The “Print Statement” seems to go to shangri-la. But ver 3.2 (soon to release) has a great capability added - to download the data file. It does so formatted for a separate page per patient selected, combining claims if there are more than one in the selected time frame. I have made the changes to the file, and documented them, so can send you a copy. Send me a separate email to either address below.
The format is easily changed to meet your needs, but mine works great for us (note the practice, etc must be defined manually in the file, rather than being variables which come from the OpenEMR Facilities database), but the printed output folds to work perfectly in a standard #10 window envelope. You can try the pre-release 3.2 (what I am using) from the download list from oemr.org and I have just posted searching instructions in the Wiki, which includes info on using this new statements feature.

As distributed, there are a bunch of changes you must make to file …/custom/statements.inc.php which allow you to download the data as a file which can then be opened in Notepad, and printed to your select printer in any Windows printer.

Thank you for the info. I was able to locate the php file and edit in nano. I appreciate the instructions within the file, too. Dr. Holmes
