Paragraphs in LBFs

Hello,

Is there anyway to add a long paragraph to a LBF form? I can choose a “Text area” data type but it has a small character limit. Or is there a better way to create forms? Also, I don’t see a print form option anywhere.

Please help me

Thank you

Hello wibaceyo,

It appears that a long paragraph can be entered into an LBF with the Static Text data type by doing this…

Set up the Static Text data type - put a blank character in the Label field, and nothing in the Description field, click on “Save New Group” / “Save New Field” button.

Then add the text for the paragraph in the Description field and click “Save Changes”.

This works since the Description data entry field that appears when creating
an instance of a Static Text data type is different to the entry field that appears when editing. The former has a limit of 63 characters and the later has no limit.

(Text inserted with the Static Text data type does not appear in the Encounter Summary).

EDIT - Rewrote and added detail.

Hello wibaceyo,

I just experimented and found that I could put more than a screen of text in an LBF with the Static Text field. I put a blank in Label and some text in Description then saved, then added more text to Description, saved.

Hello wibaceyo,

(Rewrote above post and added detail)

Encounter forms can be printed in the Patient Summary (“Report”).
