OpenEMR, Ubuntu Server, and Windows 7

Hi all,

Just got a Wacom Bamboo Pen and Touch. I have been running OpenEMR on Ubuntu 11.04 and 10.10. I want to use the ink input capability of Windows 7 to fill in patient notes.  I know I can simply set up OpenEMR on windows but am unwilling to trade the backup/restore capability in Ubuntu along with the system stability and safety it gives.

So I plan to set up an Ubuntu headless server and connect two PCs running windows using LAN.  The only problem is I really don’t know how to go about it. I have installed ubuntu server on a PC but cannot seem to figure out how to install OpenEMR!

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards

Rayaz

Why can’t  you just use your current OpenEMR installation?   How did you set that up?

Using the windows 7 machine to access your existing openEMR server should be a simple matter of specifying the IP address of that server.

As an aside, I think you are going to find that the ink input capabilities of windows 7 are slower than just typing.  I doubt you will like it.
